Spider Solitaire, free to play

The classic solitaire with two packs of cards and ten columns. Build runs from king down to ace in one suit and clear the table.

Full rules and tips: how to play Spider Solitaire

  • 1, 2 or 4 suits
  • Hint and undo
  • Saves as you go
  • Cards of one suit only

How to play

  1. Build downwards

Move a card, with any cards in a run beneath it, onto a card one rank higher. Suits do not need to match, but only a run of one suit can be moved together.

  2. Make a full run

Line up the same suit from king down to ace and the whole run is taken off the table. Clear eight runs to win.

  3. Deal when you are stuck

When no useful move is left, deal a new row of ten cards, one on every column. You can only deal when no column is empty.

Quick answers about playing Spider Solitaire on Wittlo.

Is Spider Solitaire free?

Yes. It is free to play, with no sign-up and nothing to install.

Can every deal be won?

No. With one suit, most deals can be won. With four suits, many cannot, as in the physical game.

What can I move?

A card, or a run of cards of the same suit counting down, onto a card that is one higher. Any card can go into an empty column.

Why can I not deal?

You must fill every empty column first. And there are only five deals, each of ten cards.

Can I take moves back?

Yes. Undo has no limit, and Hint suggests a sensible move or a deal.

Is my game saved?

Yes. A game in progress is saved on this device so you can carry on later. Nothing is sent anywhere.
