How to play
Read a clue
Each numbered square is where a word starts, across or down. The number in brackets after a clue tells you how many letters the answer has.
Type the letters
Tap a square and type. Tap the same square again, or press Space, to switch between the across word and the down word. Where two words cross they share a letter.
Check as you go
A wrong letter turns red straight away, and you can turn that off. Press Check, or Reveal letter or Reveal word, if you are stuck.

Is Crossword free?
Yes. It is free to play, with no sign-up and nothing to install.
How big are the crosswords?
They have 6, 9, 12 or 18 words. The largest gives a longer solve but is still smaller than a full newspaper grid.
What if I get stuck?
Press Check to mark wrong letters, Reveal letter to fill in one square, or Reveal word to fill in a whole answer.
Can I turn off the red marks for wrong letters?
Yes. Untick the box called Show mistakes as I go.
Is there a new puzzle every day?
Yes, and you can start a new one whenever you like.
Will my game be saved?
Yes. A crossword in progress is saved on this device, so you can carry on later. Nothing is sent anywhere.
