How to play
Type a word
Pick 4, 5 or 6 letters, then type a real word of that length. You have six guesses.
Read the colours
An amber tile is the right letter in the right place. A blue-outlined tile is in the word, but somewhere else.
Narrow it down
Use what each guess tells you to work out the hidden word before the six guesses run out.

Yes. The daily word is the same for everyone, and you can practise as much as you like in between.
Why was my word rejected?
Your guess has to be a word in our list. The list is hand-written and smaller than a full dictionary, so a real but rare word may be turned down. Try another.
How are repeated letters marked?
A letter is marked at most as many times as it appears in the answer.
What is hard mode?
Hard mode makes you reuse every hint you have found in your next guess.
