How to play
Uncover a square
Tap a square to uncover it. Your first tap is always safe and opens up some space.
Read the numbers
A number says how many of the eight squares around it hold a mine. A 1 with only one hidden neighbour means that neighbour is a mine.
Flag the mines
Turn on Flag mode (or right-click, or press F) to mark a mine. When a number has all its flags, tap it to open the rest around it.

Quick answers about playing Mine Field on Wittlo.
Is Mine Field free?
Yes. It is free to play, with no sign-up and nothing to install.
Is the first move really safe?
Yes. The mines are placed after your first tap, never on that square or beside it.
Do I ever have to guess?
Sometimes. Boards are random, so a few can leave a true 50-50 choice. Hint points to a square that is safe.
How do I flag on a phone?
Press Flag mode, then tap squares to flag or unflag them. Press it again to go back to uncovering.
What does tapping a number do?
If the number already has that many flags around it, it opens all the other squares around it at once.
