How to play Bead Rows
A calm solo puzzle. Slide beads around the board and line up five of a colour to clear them.
The rules, step by step
- The board is 9 by 9 squares. A few beads of different colours (and shapes) sit on it, and the next three beads are shown above the board.
- Tap a bead, then tap an empty square. The bead slides there, but only through empty squares, up, down, left or right. It cannot jump over other beads.
- Make a row of five or more beads of the same colour, across, down or diagonally. They disappear and you score.
- If you did not clear a row, three new beads appear in random empty squares. If you did clear one, no new beads appear that turn.
- Scoring: five beads score 10, six score 18, seven score 28, and so on, so clearing more at once is worth much more.
- The game ends when the board is full. Your best score is kept on this device.
An example
You have four red beads in a row. Slide a fifth red bead next to them, and all five vanish for 10 points.
Tips
- Keep the board as empty as you can. Every bead you leave behind is one fewer free square.
- Look at the three coming beads and avoid putting them where they would block you.
- Each colour has its own shape, so you do not need to rely on colour. Press Hint for a move that clears or builds a row.
