How to play Make 24
Use four numbers and the signs + - × ÷ to make exactly 24.
The rules, step by step
- You are given four numbers.
- Use all four numbers, each exactly once, together with + - × ÷ and brackets, to make exactly 24.
- Tap the numbers and signs, or type your expression, and press Check.
- You may use fractions along the way. With 3, 3, 8 and 8, the answer is 8 ÷ (3 - 8 ÷ 3).
- Every deal has at least one solution. If you are stuck, the game can show you one.
An example
With 2, 3, 4 and 6: 6 × 4 = 24, and 3 - 2 = 1, so (6 × 4) × (3 - 2) = 24.
Tips
- Look for pairs that make 24 directly, such as 3 × 8, 4 × 6 or 2 × 12.
- Or look for pairs that make a useful 1 or 2, then multiply.
- Choose an easier level while you get used to it.
