How to play Make Your Own Puzzle
Make a word search or a crossword from your own words, then print it.
The rules, step by step
- Choose Word search or Crossword.
- For a word search, type one word on each line. For a crossword, type one answer on each line, then a colon, then the clue. For example: Rose: Thorny flower.
- Each word needs 3 to 15 letters. You can use up to 24 words.
- Press the button to make your puzzle. The answers are on a separate page.
- Press Print. Not happy with it? Press Make a different one to get a new arrangement of the same words.
- What you type stays on this device. Nothing is sent anywhere.
Tips
- A word search of family names or favourite places makes a lovely gift.
- For a crossword, choose words that share some letters, because words cross at shared letters.
- If a word is left out of a crossword, it shares no letters with the others. Try changing it.
