How to play Daily Riddle
One new riddle every day. Guess the answer, use a hint, or give up and see it.
The rules, step by step
- Read the riddle. It describes something everyday in a roundabout way.
- Type your answer and press Guess. Capital letters, a leading "a" or "the", and a plural s do not matter.
- Press Hint for a nudge. A second hint gives the first letter and the number of letters.
- Press Give up to see the answer. A new riddle arrives at midnight.
An example
"I have keys but open no locks." Think of what has keys, and what else it needs: the answer is a keyboard.
Tips
- Riddles often play on a word having two meanings, such as a key, a hand or a face.
- Ask what kind of thing it is: an object, a place, a part of the body.
- Say the riddle out loud. It often makes the trick clearer.
