How to play Shade Sort
The tiles of a smooth colour gradient are mixed up. Swap them until the colours flow again.
The rules, step by step
- Choose a size and a mode. The daily puzzle is the same for everyone.
- The four corner tiles stay put. Every other tile belongs somewhere on the blend between them.
- Tap a tile, then tap another, to swap them. A dot on a tile means it is in the right place.
- When every tile is in place the picture is smooth and you have solved it. Press Hint if you are stuck.
An example
If the top row should run from red to blue, look for the tile that is a little redder than blue and a little bluer than red, and put it beside the corner.
Tips
- Start with the edges. Each edge is a smooth line between two corners, so it is easy to order.
- Then work inwards, row by row.
- Turn on the dots to see which tiles you have already got right.
